Australia: Life After Caps

Australian media is abuzz as the country's international education sector faces mounting challenges. Terms like "shonky providers," "ghost colleges," "unscrupulous agents," and "onshore poaching" have all hit the headlines.
In response, the government has imposed a cap of 270,000 international students for 2025. This cap has hit commercial education providers and TAFEs the hardest, but even the prestigious Group of Eight universities are grappling with the expected drop in international student numbers for the upcoming academic year.
