Universities in three major English-speaking study destinations are experiencing serious financial challenges. With the imposition of international student caps in both Australia and Canada, alongside more restrictive visa requirements in the UK, international student numbers are looking precarious at best.
The response from the sector and its representative bodies has, unfortunately, been predictable. While we cannot predict the future, their efforts have yet to sway politicians from anti-immigration policies, which are having serious implications on international student applications and the allocation of study visas.
